This is a black & white introduction edition featuring pencils and dialog of the Prologue (Pages 1-12) for the first issue coming soon! Watch for it!
To introduce the story I used a scripture from Revelation and illustrated the action. To give the intro a bit more drama and weight I wanted it to look ancient so rather than inking this page I used my favorite photo editing software to give it a sepia look, like parchment. I designed the panel borders to look somewhat like a scroll.
I channeled inspiration from Stan Lee and Jack Kirby’s mid sixties Mighty Thor series when they were at their peak. I can’t really do an decent imitation of Lee or Kirby’s styles but I endeavor to capture the flavor of action and drama their work conveyed.
